Some Good News at least for New York on Religious Exemptions on Vaccine Mandates
A major win for the "Religious Exemption" precedence by the Thomas Moore Society
September 16, 2021
A case was recently filed by the Thomas Moore Society against the State of New York and other state actors on the issue of "Religious Exemption" and their Vaccine Mandate.
The Thomas Moore Society has just won a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) issued by Judge David N. Hurd;
The vaccine mandate is suspended in operation to the extent that the DOH is barred from enforcing any requirement that employers deny religious exemptions from covid-19 vaccination or that they revoke any exemptions employers already granted before the vaccine mandate issued.
Early on September 14, 2021, The United States District Court for the Northern District of New York granted a Temporary Restraining Order against the governor of New York and her administration in Dr. A, et al. v. Kathy Hochul, et al.
